CHILDCARE VOLUNTEER – help parents take a Baking Break!

Would you like to help combat the damaging impacts of social isolation on health, well-being and overall quality of life? And do you like being with children and are looking for an infrequent volunteer opportunity? Here’s an opportunity – by helping stay-at-home parents become more socially connected!

Baking Break needs volunteers to care for preschoolers while their parents are down the hall, baking. One Thursday morning each month, a team of volunteers gives parents a break by caring for their children in Southview.

Location: Emmanuel Community Church, 3003 28 St SE, Calgary, AB T2B 2Z3

Time: One Thursday morning a month, 9:00 to 11:30, from now till June.

We know you love volunteering and want to make this more fun! So, we are offering the following in return:

  • Current Police Check, Intervention Record Check paid for by Aspen
  • A reference letter recognizing your contribution
  • A coffee card to treat yourself
  • A chance to cuddle babies and play with little ones
  • Support from team caregivers and parents
