Our focus through 2021 is Aspen’s trademarked research project Social Return on Engagement (SROETM). The SROE is built on a social proposition that when positive social engagement is used as a framework or when it becomes a habit, its iterative processes generates replicable outcomes over time. The SROE tool will assess the depth and breadth of social engagement in the change or transformative processes. The study is primarily driven by the recognition that existing models and measurements are largely focused on cost-benefit analysis and outcomes, often neglecting the prominence of social engagements in effecting change. Social engagement is a critical component in negotiations of social change and therefore a social theory that should be explored.
