Aspen's Rundle Community Transition Home (Rundle) is undergoing some much need repairs and renovations this fall, thanks to a generous contribution from The Home Depot Canada Foundation!
Rundle is one of two group homes that Aspen operates in Calgary. Both homes provide caring and compassionate home-like environments while facilitating healthy development for youth who are unable to reside in their family home.
Part of creating this caring and compassionate environment is offering a space that the youth are proud to call home; a space that allows them to feel safe and welcome, and ensures that they know they are cared for. This gift from The Home Depot Canada Foundation is helping Aspen to continue hitting all of these points!
Renovations have already begun, with transformations currently taking place in the Namaste bathroom, boys bathroom and kitchen. Upcoming projects will also include new flooring throughout the house, fresh paint, new interior doors and modernized lighting on all three floors. Youth living in the home are playing an active part in the renovations, with paint colours, flooring and cupboard door styles being chosen as a group.
