With a new year of school just around the corner, some parents are struggling to choose between rent, groceries, or school supplies for their kids. They are stuck in what feels like a constant battle to provide a normal life for their kids. Back-to-school for some families isn’t just about dreading a stressful shopping trip, it’s about choosing between basic needs and education.

Aspen needs your help in equipping kids and youth with the supplies they need to start school off on the right foot this September. It’s not just about paper, binders and calculators – it is about giving the gift of opportunity to be successful in school and life.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Option 1: Fill a backpack with school supplies

• Decide if you would like to support a child in Elementary, Junior High, or High School
  
• Purchase the items on the corresponding shopping list (below) and pack them into a new, stylish backpack
• Drop off your filled backpack at one of our two drop-off locations during hours of operation:

  Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  
  Heart of South Calgary Family Centre (located in Millrise Station, 2nd Floor)

  Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Tuesday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Option 2: Pick a few items from the shopping list and drop them off
Choose items that work with your budget, and drop them off at our drop-off locations listed above.

Option 3: Donate online and send our team shopping
Make a donation of any amount, and we'll be sure to put it to use purchasing supplies that kids and youth need to be successful at school this year.
