The Youth Transitions to Adulthood program helps young people who have grown up in governmental care such as foster homes and group homes, transition to independent living.
The program focuses on helping people develop skills including budgeting, grocery shopping and meal preparation, as well as support with education and employment planning.
Youth Transitions to Adulthood clients can choose to live independently or they can live in an inner city apartment block operated by Aspen, where they have access to a live-in support worker.
Once youth have graduated from the program, their skills are enhanced and they are able to live independent and self sufficient in their home, work, school or community.
