Wendy's Wonderful Kids believes: 'Every child deserves to live in a safe, loving and permanent family. No child should linger in foster care or leave at age 18 without a permanent family of their own and every child is adoptable.'

  • Aspen is the only Wendy's Wonderful Kids program grantee in Alberta. Our program began operation in July 2009.
  • This program helps as many as twenty-five children and youth at a time who are in foster homes waiting to be adopted.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Canada is dedicated to increasing the adoptions of the children in Canada's foster care system waiting for permanent homes.

Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, created the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in 1992 in support of the Vision that 'Every child deserves a permanent home and a loving family.'

Wendy's Wonderful Kids started in Canada in 2006 with 2 sites and currently are operating 5 sites nation wide.

Children or youth receiving services through Calgary and Area Child and Family Services Authority.
