Volunteer Connections

• Aspen receives close to 200 volunteer hours every month.
• Aspen staff work closely with each volunteer to make sure their passions and skills are matched with volunteer opportunities.
• Volunteers provide valuable mentorship and tutoring to children and youth.
• Volunteers provide child care to children of client families, to allow for the parents to attend support meetings.

Volunteers play a vital role at Aspen. Through the Volunteer Connections program we determine each volunteer's interests, experience and abilities to find the best fit.

Volunteer opportunities include fundraising, event planning, marketing, aiding staff with youth programs or providing child care support for children whose parents are attending groups or workshops. Some volunteers work directly with Aspen clients as tutors or adult mentors. Aspen's mentors spend time with children and youth to serve as positive role models.

Aspen also offers a Faith Connections program which is customized for faith-based groups to contribute in a volunteer capacity.

Everyone is welcome. Volunteers must be willing to complete a screening and training process.
